Greetings all,

Not to be outdone by Aaron Bourque, I have gone and gotten myself
diagnosed with cancer.

It's not a serious one and the doctors are confident, I will be going
under the knife sometime next week with any luck, but with scans and
such to start with.

So I may be out of communications range for a bit. I will however be
taking a whole mess of Wheel of Time books in with me and will be
composing my nitpicks with furious concentration and pettiness.

In other news for you oldbies, it looks like Bourque at least had seen
a bit of a light at the end of his tunnel, at least as of December
last year (nothing since then in his LiveJournal that I can see):

Still rooting for you, chief. We'll totally have a club and a secret
handshake and stuff afterwards, alright? Or we can rattle our
intestines (of which we will have made classy-looking windchimes) at
each other or something.

Cancer is a faggot.

I will outlast the God damned Wheel of Time.

Good luck to you. And whichever of Chucky or Janica you personally aren't, also.

Good point.

Should I appoint a ghost writer for the Steal now?

As I said in email, I think using this expression when one has butt
cancer is either unfortunate or obvious, depending on the joke you
wish to make ;D

As a follow-up, I did that shit I just said and am now wondering
whether we should have a worldwide man-hunt for Bourque.
